UPDATE: Did NOT like my original edit. The vignetting thing was really bugging me. Also put a new screen shot of my PS layers palette.
Roll your mouse over

My Photoshop Layers Palette

I tried to explain my work in the layers palette. Sorry I adjusted the eyes Dana! I read your tutorial after!
The original photo (by Dana Suggs) is actually shown with my crop because the mouseover thingy smushed it and made it look weird.
My Goals
- Adjust his collar so it doesn’t look so hunchy (is that a word? – It is now. I just made it up.)
- Make the highlights brighter next to darkened shadows on the face.
- Correct skin boo boo’s on the face and around the eyes with healing tool.
Just For Fun

Once I began looking at edits by other people I was inspired to go a little further. So, I cropped to get rid of the chair, added a few lens flares (Filter>Render>Lens Flare) and removed vignetting. I noticed that the faint flares behind his head ended up looking like a heart. I meant to do that! Not.
Check out my first Photoshop Action
Super simple, easy action. It adds a border and drop shadow just like in the picture above (that’s when I made it!) Please let me know if it works for you. I have a few more ideas I want to try if it does (all free for now). Thank you in advance!

Love how you fixed the shirt! I like the saturation and vignette as well!
I didn’t notice the hunchy-ness until you fixed it. You’ve got a fancy focus thing going on. Looks great!

One more thing…
I really LOVE your use of a rollover & the screenshot of your layers palette is a great teaching tool.
